A 15-year-old boy was shot Thursday evening in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The boy was walking down the street when a vehicle pulled up and a suspect fired shots. He was shot in the leg at 6:22 p.m. in the 5100 block of South Prairie, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said. Additional information was not immediately available.
