A man was wounded in a shooting Friday afternoon near Jackson Park on the South Side.

The 23-year-old was shot in the right leg at 1:47 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 60th Street, according to Chicago Police. Police said he was involved in an altercation with another man before the shooting.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition, police said.
