A man was wounded in a drive-by shooting in the Austin neighborhood early Saturday.

The 29-year-old was walking in the 100 block of North Leamington shortly before 3 a.m. when someone in a passing vehicle shot him in both legs and the groin area, police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital where his condition had stabilized, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
