A man robbed a gas station in north suburban Gurnee at gunpoint Friday night.

The robbery happened at the Citgo station in the 3400 block of Route 132 at 10:10 p.m. Friday, according to a statement from Gurnee police.

The man pulled out a handgun and walked away east after the robbery with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The suspect was described as a black man between 25 and 35 , about 6-foot and 200-240 pounds, police said. He was wearing a winter hat and had a bandana covering his face.
