A 21-year-old man who was missing since last week from the Heart of Chicago neighborhood on the South Side has been found safe.
Peter Konhilas went missing Jan. 3 from the 2000 block of West Coulter, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.
Police said Wednesday morning that Konhilas had been found safe.
The man, 29, had gunshot wounds to the face and thigh when he was found by police responding to a call of shots fired in the 6300 block of South Albany Avenue.
Thomas Howard, 62, allegedly targeted a home in the 5700 block of North Mason Avenue, down the block from him, for several months from May 2022 through January 2023, police said.
He hasn’t proposed, and he says he won’t until they try living together first.
