A man was shot Thursday afternoon in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

The 20-year-old was walking in the 7700 block of South Michigan at 12:19 p.m. when he was approached by three males, according to Chicago Police.

One of the males pulled out a a handgun and fired a shot, striking the man in the left leg, police said. He was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition stabilized.
