A 28-year-old man was shot to death inside his Gresham neighborhood home Thursday night on the South Side.

Another person who lives in the home in the 8000 block of South Bishop had left at 6:30 a.m. and returned about 10 p.m. to find Chase Taylor dead with a gunshot wound to the head in the living room, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:13 p.m., authorities said.

Area South detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
