A 16-year-old boy was shot in the abdomen late Wednesday in the Far South Side Golden Gate neighborhood.

About 10:30 p.m., someone opened fire from a passing black car in the 400 block of East 133rd Street, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, police said.
