A man who was fatally struck by a Metra train last week on the Milwaukee District West line near northwest suburban Hanover Park has been identified.
Jason David Etheredge, 32, was struck by train 2250 about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday just west of the Hanover Park station at 1975 W. Lake St., according to Metra and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Etheredge, of Bartlett, was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:01 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
An autopsy Wednesday did not rule on his cause and manner of death pending further investigation.
