A 38-year-old man was killed in a shooting Sunday evening in the South Chicago neighborhood.
Paris Thompson was sitting outside about 7:20 p.m. in the 7900 block of South East End Avenue when another male walked up and fired shots, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Thompson, who lived a few blocks away, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, back and neck, authorities said. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 8:04 p.m.
Area South detectives were investigating.
