A man was shot Thursday evening in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 26-year-old was shot in the abdomen and leg when someone walked up to the vehicle he was sitting in about 5:20 p.m. in the 3400 block of West Ohio and fired, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.
