A man was injured in a drive-by shooting Thursday morning in the Montclare neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 31-year-old victim was in the 2300 block of North Normandy Avenue about 11:30 a.m. when a black car drove up and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the buttocks, and was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where his condition was stabilized.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

Achilles C. Beasley, 18, was sitting in a vehicle in the 1800 block of West 88th Street about 6:05 p.m. Sunday when he was hit in the leg by gunfire, police said. He died at a hospital.
The shooting of the 33-year-old woman, who was grazed in the head and suffered non life-threatening injuries, was likely sparked by an earlier fight involving staffers in the parking lot, officials said.
