A CPD squad car and a CFD ambulance crashed into each other Oct. 19, 2019 while responding to a shooting in East Garfield Park on the West Side.

A woman was shot early Sunday in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 28-year-old was in a vehicle about 12:50 a.m. in the 5400 block of West Thomas when someone walked up to the car and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

She suffered a gunshot wound to the right shoulder and later showed up at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where she was listed in good condition, police said.
