Man shot in South Shore

A man was shot early Tuesday in the South Shore neighborhood.

The 21-year-old was walking at 2:09 a.m. in the 7000 block of South Merrill when two people approached and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the back and arm and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
