A man was critically wounded Wednesday evening in a West Englewood shooting on the South Side.

The 19-year-old was standing on the sidewalk at 8:07 p.m. in the 6800 block of South Damen Avenue when two other males began shooting from a vacant lot, Chicago Police said.

He was shot in his neck and head, and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, police said.
