A man robbed a Chase Bank branch Friday afternoon in northwest suburban Buffalo Grove.

The man entered the branch at 175 McHenry Road at 4:47 p.m. and passed a note to a teller demanding money and implying that he had a weapon, according to Buffalo Grove police and the FBI. He then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was described as a 25 to 30-year-old white man standing between 5-foot-10 and 6 feet tall, police said in a statement. He was clean-shaven with short, dark hair with a part in the middle and wore dark sunglasses. He also wore a light, striped button-up shirt and a black full-length zip jacket.
