A 26-year-old man was shot in the finger early Friday in the South Shore neighborhood.

He was walking on a sidewalk about 2:10 a.m. in the 2300 block of East 72nd Street when someone shot him from a passing burgundy vehicle.

The man was struck in the left index finger and he took himself to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition, police said.
