Man shot in Austin

A man was wounded in a shooting Saturday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 42-year-old was sitting in a parked vehicle about 9:15 p.m. in the 5800 block of West Augusta when a black Jeep Wrangler pulled up and someone inside opened fire, striking him in the right leg, according to Chicago Police.

He showed up at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
