A pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle nearly two weeks ago on I-94 on the Far South Side has been identified as an elderly south suburban man.

The crash happened about 9:30 a.m. Aug. 19 in the northbound lanes of I-94 at 130th Street, according to Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Don Orseno.

Donald M. Crowder, 72, of Calumet City was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:58 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The crash remains under investigation.
