Two men shot in South Shore

Two men were shot Wednesday afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood.

Just after 1 p.m., they were in a vehicle in the 7500 block of South Essex when a male started shooting at their vehicle and they pulled over, according to Chicago Police.

A 38-year-old man was shot in the chest and taken in serious condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.

A 34-year-old man was shot multiple times in the chest and walked into Jackson Park Hospital, but was transferred to Stroger Hospital, police said. He was also listed in serious condition.
