A 41-year-old man was shot to death during a fight early Sunday in the South Shore neighborhood on the South Side, police said.

About 3 a.m., Jesse A. Bennett was in an argument with another man who pulled out a handgun and fired shots in the 2700 block of East 75th Street, according to Chicago Police.

Bennett was shot in the face and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. He lived in the Southwest Side Chicago Lawn neighborhood.

No one was in custody as Area South detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
