A man suspected of robbing a bank last week in northwest suburban Bartlett struck again Wednesday evening in Elgin.

At 6:44 p.m., he robbed a TCF Bank branch at 1600 Larkin Avenue in Elgin, according to Elgin police and the FBI. The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect, a black man thought to be in his 20s, is about 6 feet tall with a small build, the FBI said. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and latex gloves.

He is also suspected of robbing another TCF Bank branch at 8:45 a.m. Friday at 125 E. Stearns Road in Bartlett, according to the FBI. In that robbery, he was seen wearing a gray New York Yankees hat, a black bandana, dark hoodie, and gray sweatpants and carrying a brown leather shoulder bag.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information should call the FBI’s Chicago office at (312) 421-6700 or Elgin police at (847) 695-4195. Tips can also be texted to 847411 with “ELGINPD” at the beginning of the message.
