A man was shot to death Tuesday morning in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired at 8:32 a.m. found 35-year-old Carnell Oliver with gunshot wounds in the 700 block of North Springfield, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Oliver, who lived in West Humboldt Park,was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:56 a.m.,authoritiessaid.
Area North detectives were investigating.
