A 25-year-old man who was wounded in a shooting early Sunday in the Hermosa neighborhood on the Northwest Side has died.

Christian J. Tepan Zhungur was shot while standing on a sidewalk about 2:55 a.m. in the 2200 block of North Keeler Avenue when someone in a black car fired shots, Chicago police said.

He was shot in his abdomen and was taken in critical condition to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to police.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital about 1:15 p.m. Monday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

An autopsy Tuesday found that Zhungur died died from a gunshot wound to his torso, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.
