2 men shot in Austin

Two men were wounded in a shooting Sunday afternoon in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The men, ages 20 and 27, were shot at 1:13 p.m. in the 1400 block of North Leclaire, according to preliminary information from Chicago police.

The younger man suffered a gunshot wound to his back, while the older man was struck in the abdomen, police said. They were both taken to Stroger Hospital, where their conditions were stabilized.

Area North detectives were investigating the shooting.
