The Bears will open the 2018 season in prime time against the Packers on “Sunday Night Football.” They’ll be back under the bright lights again the next week for their home opener against the Seahawks on “Monday Night Football.”

The NFL unveiled its complete schedule for the upcoming season at 7 p.m. We already knew their 16 opponents for the season thanks to a reveal in early January, but the league had not hammered down the details for all 32 teams until this week. Now we know the full schedule facing new coach Matt Nagy for the upcoming season.

Nagy said NFC North games will be critical in his first campaign as an NFL head coach.

“Yeah, division games are always important, for a lot of reasons,” he said. “People can say the tiebreakers and things of that nature. For us, this is … we need to just understand that the importance that it has. There’s so many different things that go into it, and we’ll get into the details behind those four walls within us and how that works.”

It appears there’s some optimism about how entertaining the Bears might be under Nagy given they’re playing back-to-back prime-time games to open the season. Mitch Trubisky is expected to take a major leap forward after the franchise hired a coach and added various other pieces geared toward fostering his success. The team also has the No. 8 overall pick in the draft.

Trubisky joked that he couldn’t talk about the schedule until the league officially releases it. He laughed when asked about opening in Green Bay on prime time.

“We’ll see,” he said. “We got a couple more hours, so I guess we’ll find out.”

Here’s the complete 2018 Bears schedule.
