A man accidentally shot himself Friday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 22-year-old was in the 4800 block of West Hirsch about 4:05 p.m. when he shot himself in the right thigh, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital for treatment in good condition, police said.
