A 17-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Tuesday night in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood.

The boy was walking about 10:15 p.m. in the 1200 block of South Avers when someone shot him in his arm, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Saint Anthony Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating the shooting.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
