Teen critically wounded in Austin shooting

A 16-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The boy was shot in the chest and shoulder about 4:51 p.m. in the 5000 block of West Washington Boulevard, according to Chicago Police. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

A 16-year-old boy and a 40-year-old man died after being shot about 10:40 a.m. Friday in the 2500 block of West 46th Street, police said.
Deputy Sean Grayson has been fired and charged with murder for the shooting. He has pleaded not guilty. The family says the DOJ is investigating.
