A 16-year-old boy was shot Thursday afternoon in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

He was walking about 1 p.m. in the 5100 block of South Halsted when he heard gunshots and was struck in the hand, Chicago Police said.

He was treated at St. Bernard Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
