A 17-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Saturday night on the border of the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The boy was walking about 9:50 p.m. in the 6100 block of South King Drive when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in arm, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating.
