A driver was shot Friday night in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

About 10 p.m., the 34-year-old man was driving in the 3200 block of North Kedzie when someone in a passing vehicle firing shots, Chicago Police said. He was hit in his head and then crashed his vehicle.

Paramedics then took him to Illinois Masonic in critical condition, police said.

Area North detectives were investigating the shooting.
