Man shot on West Side

A man was wounded in a shooting Tuesday night on the West Side.

The 26-year-old was standing at 7:55 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Wilcox when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been struck in the leg, according to Chicago police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

Area North detectives were investigating.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
