A man was shot Friday morning in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

Someone in a gray car fired at the 29-year-old man at 9:16 a.m. in the 5500 block of South Marshfield, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the right hip and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
