Two people were wounded in a pair of shootings Saturday on Interstate 57 in the south suburbs.

In the evening, a 30-year-old woman was grazed by a bullet as she drove on I-57 near Calumet Park, Illinois State Police said.

At 6:32 p.m., the woman was driving north on I-57 near 127th Street when she was grazed by gunfire, Illinois State Police said. She refused medical treatment at the scene.

Four vehicles were struck by gunfire during the shooting, state police said. Investigators believe the gunfire came from a black vehicle with multiple people inside.

All inbound lanes of the expressway were closed for hours for an investigation.

Earlier in the day, a man was shot on I-57 near 111th Street, police said.

A 19-year-old man from Urbana was shot about 1 a.m. while driving southbound, police said. The shots were apparently fired from another vehicle.
