Two drivers were seriously injured in a crash Monday morning in Will County near suburban Manhattan.

A Toyota Camry was traveling on West Offner Road about 10 a.m. when it turned onto US Route 52 at the intersection and was t-boned by a Ford Focus, according to Illinois State Police.

The driver of the Toyota, a 55-year-old woman from Du Bois, and the driver of the Camry, a 55-year-old man from Manteno, were both taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, state police said. They were listed in serious condition.

State police said an investigation was ongoing.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
