In each incident, an unknown person broke into or tried to break into the front door of residences, once inside, they stole property then fled.

Chicago police are warning residents of three residential burglaries reported in January in Bucktown and Wicker Park on the Northwest Side.

In each incident, an unknown person broke into or tried to break into the front door of residences, once inside, they stole property then fled, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The burglaries happened:

  • About 1:15 p.m. Jan. 9, in the 2300 block of West Moffat Street;
  • About 2:45 p.m. Jan 10, in the 2300 block of West North Avenue; and
  • Between 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Jan. 11, in the 1500 block of North Bell Avenue.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
