A woman was fatally struck by a car Sunday in northwest suburban Schiller Park. 

Desiree Jordan, 58, was crossing the road about 9:45 p.m. in the 4200 block of Mannheim Road when she was hit by a 2018 BMW X2 driven by a 54-year-old man, according to Schiller Park police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. An autopsy found she died of multiple injuries from the crash, and ruled her death an accident. 

Schiller Park police were investigating.
