A woman was seriously injured when her pick-up truck crashed into a viaduct Tuesday night in Grand Crossing on the South Side.

The woman and a passenger were headed north when they crashed in the 7700 block of South Avalon Avenue around 10:15 p.m., according to Chicago fire officials.

The woman was seriously injured and the passenger refused treatment, fire officials said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
