Man fatally shot in Gresham

A 33-year-old man from suburban Justice was fatally shot in Gresham.

Joshua Jarrell Morris was near a sidewalk around 7:30 p.m. in the 7700 block of South Damen Avenue when he was shot in the chest, Chicago police said.

Morris was transported to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he died, the Cook County medical examiner’s said.

No one was in custody, according to police.
