A 16-year-old boy was shot Saturday evening in Humboldt Park on the Northwest Side.

About 9:30 p.m., he was on the sidewalk in the 1000 block of North Lawndale Avenue, when he was shot in the left arm and leg, Chicago police said.

The boy was taken to Stroger hospital, where he is in fair condition, police said.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
