A man was wounded in a shooting Tuesday in west suburban Aurora.

He was in a vehicle about 5 a.m. when he was shot at Montgomery Road and Hill Avenue, according to preliminary information from Aurora police.

He was taken to a hospital, but his condition was unknown, police said. Detectives are investigating.
