Authorities are investigating after a wrong-way driver was reported Monday on the Stevenson Expressway in Bronzeville on the South Side.

A vehicle was seen heading the wrong direction about 2:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-55 near State Street, according to Illinois State Police.

The vehicle was last spotted near Damen and has since exited the expressway, state police said. No crashes were reported.

The driver has not been located and no one is in custody as state police continue to investigate.
