A man was shot and killed Sunday in the Heart of Chicago on the South Side.

About 9:15 a.m., Andy Chiquito, 40, was found lying in the 1700 block of West 21st Street with a gunshot wound to his torso, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He was rushed to Stroger Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

No one is in custody, police said.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
