A man was killed in a shooting Saturday in East Garfield Park on the West Side, police said.

About 5:33 a.m., residents near the 3200 block of West Huron Street heard gunfire and found 26-year-old Tavaris Trimble of Dolton unresponsive in a gangway, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Trimble had three gunshot wounds and officers recovered a weapon near the body, police said.

He was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. An autopsy has been schedule to find his official cause of death.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
