Police are warning Southwest Side residents of a series of burglaries to homes and garages reported over the last few weeks in Marquette Park.

In each case, someone made their way into a garage or a home and took items from inside, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The burglaries happened:

  • About 6 p.m. Aug. 10 in the 6800 block of South Washtenaw Avenue
  • About 5 p.m. Aug. 13 in the 6600 block of South Rockwell Street
  • About 5:30 p.m. Aug. 14 in the 6500 block of South Talman Avenue
  • About 7:54 p.m. Aug. 15 in the 7000 block of South Washtenaw Avenue
  • About 10 a.m. Aug. 20 in the 6800 block of South Campbell Avenue
  • About 4 p.m. Aug. 26 in the 6500 block of South Washtenaw Avenue.

A description of any suspects was not immediately available.
