2 shot in backyard of Gresham home

Someone fired shots from an alley in the 7500 block of South Sangamon Street and struck two men.

Two men were wounded in a shooting Saturday in Gresham on the South Side.

About 2:07 a.m., they were in the backyard of a home in the 7500 block of South Sangamon Street when someone appeared from an alley and unleashed gunfire, Chicago police said.

The men, 23 and 24, were both struck in the leg and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, police said. Their conditions were stabilized.

No arrests have been reported. Area South detectives are investigating.
