A woman was shot in the 5400 block of South Laflin Street, Sept. 21, 2019, in Back of the Yards.

A 21-year-old woman was shot in the arm Saturday in Back of the Yards on the South Side.

She was standing on the street about 12:10 a.m. in the 5400 block of South Laflin Street when someone in a vehicle opened fire, Chicago police said.

The woman was taken to Holy Cross Hospital where her condition was stabilized, police said.

No one is in custody, and Area Central detectives are investigating.
