A man who was wounded in a shooting Saturday in Lawndale on the West Side has died from his injuries.

William Howard, 24, was pronounced dead about 12:13 a.m. Sunday at Mount Sinai Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

On Saturday, he was in a vacant lot about 8:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of South Sawyer Avenue when he was shot multiple times, Chicago police said.

No arrests have been reported. Area Four detectives are investigating.
