At least seven apartments were burglarized in January and February in Chatham.

Chicago police are warning Chatham residents about a series of residential burglaries reported recently in the South Side neighborhood.

In each incident, someone broke into the apartment through a window or back door and stole electronics, jewelry, wallets and purses, among other items, Chicago police said.

The burglaries happened at various hours between Jan. 13 and Feb. 10 in:

  • The 8000 block of South Ellis Avenue;
  • The 8200 block of South Maryland Avenue;
  • The 700 block of East 81st Street;
  • The 7900 block of South Dobson Avenue;
  • The 8100 block of South Drexel Avenue;
  • The 900 block of East 80th Street; and
  • The 8100 block of South Ellis Avenue.

Police did not provide a description of any suspects.
